October gas consumption to be recalculated

Chisinau, Nov. 29 / MOLDPRES /- Moldovagaz announced today that the company's corporate security department revealed numerous facts of artificial overestimation of gas consumption in October, thus preventing significant financial losses for the company amid tariff increases in November.

"During the audit, it was found that some of the employees of the gas distribution, using their service status, in their personal financial interests included tens of thousands of cubic meters of gas in the database and, as a result, in invoicing, which were not actually consumed. As a result, this fact could lead to pronounced discrepancies in the gas balance at the country level ", Moldovagaz said.

Gas consumption in October is currently being recalculated in order to invoice the real volumes. "The service investigation continues, and the persons responsible for entering the erroneous data will be punished accordingly", according to Moldovagaz.

Moldovagaz urges consumers to transmit the exact data of the meters, which can be done by phone call, through Viber, ChatBot and Telegram applications, the service Personal consumer's office or at the headquarters of gas distribution companies.
