Head of state discusses with mother of Moldovan gymnast winning bronze at Tokyo Olympic Games

Chisinau, 2 December /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today evening met with the mother of Daniela Mogurean, a gymnast from Moldova who had got a bronze medal at the Olympic Games held in Tokyo last summer, the presidential press service has reported.

The head of state discussed with Silvia Mogurean about the passion of her daughter for the rhythmic gymnastics, which the latter had been practicing since the age of 8 years, as well as about the sacrifices demanded by a sports career at such a high level. At the same time, President Maia Sandu congratulated Mrs. Mogurean for the success of the young woman.

In August 2021, the national team of Italy took the bronze at the Tokyo Olympic Games. The medal won by the team whose member was also Daniela Mogurean, was the 40th and the last one got by the Italian sportspeople at the Games.
