Sheriff Tiraspol team played draw in last match of Champions League

Chisinau, Dec. 8 / MOLDPRES /- Sheriff Tiraspol ended in a draw with Shakhtar Donetsk in the last UEFA Champions League group stage match.

The champion of the Republic of Moldova in football, Sheriff Tiraspol played last night, at the Olimpiyskiy Stadium in Kiev, in a 1-1 draw with the team Shakhtar Donetsk, in the last match of Group D of the Champions League. The goals were scored by Fernando, in the 42nd minute, and Boban Nikolov in extra time, in the 90 + 3 minute.

The other match of group D, Real Madrid - Inter Milano ended with the score 2-0. Real accumulated 15 points and became the winner of the group. On the other places were ranked Inter, with 10 points, Sheriff Tiraspol, with seven points, Shakhtar Donetsk, two points.

Real Madrid and Inter Milan have qualified for the round of 16 of the Champions League, and Sheriff Tiraspol will play in the knockout round of the Europa League. The draw will take place on December 13 in Nyon, and the matches of the Tiraspol team will be played on February 17 and 24, 2022.
