Deputy PM has meeting with charge d'affaires of U.S. Embassy in Moldova

Chisinau, 24 January /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian today discussed with Charge d’affaires of the Embassy of the United States in Moldova Laura Hruby. The American official conveyed congratulations on the taking over of the mandate of chief negotiator on behalf of Chisinau in the Transnistrian settlement process, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.

The discussions were focused on the present situation in the dialogue between Chisinau and Tiraspol, the most topical subjects on the agenda, the visions and priorities of Moldova’s authorities in the implementation of the policies of the country’s reintegration and in the promotion of the settlement process.

Deputy PM Oleg Serebrian noted that priority remain the identification of solutions to the most pressing problems of the citizens from both banks of Dniester, protection of the fundamental human rights and freedoms and launching impetuses necessary, in order to ensure a productive interaction in all present formats of negotiations.
