Education institutions from Chisinau prepared for carrying out online education

Chisinau, 2 February /MOLDPRES/ - The municipal education system of Chisinau was supplied with about 9,400 new information equipment units in 2020-2022, of which 5,036 computers, 3,909 laptops and 485 tablets.

The Chisinau city hall informed that, on the pandemic period, the city hall had bought 9,430 computers, in order to ensure the online education. The specialized municipal subdivision monitored the distribution of the computer technology according to the priorities. At the same time, the education institutions holding these devices were urged to give them for temporary use to pupils who need them, in order to participate in online classes.

Another 840 laptops have been recently distributed, in order to be delivered to the pupils who do not have the needed devices. They were purchased for the pupils who did not have devices to connect to the classes held online.

According to data presented by managers from 150 primary and secondary education institutions (public and private), most municipal education institutions from Chisinau are prepared for organizing and holding the online education process.
