Moldovan-Hungarian inter-governmental commission for economic cooperation to hold meeting

Chisinau, 4 February /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu, on a working visit to Budapest, has met Deputy Prime Minister of Hungary Zsolt Semjén.
At the meeting, the officials reviewed the developments of the Moldovan-Hungarian bilateral relations. The sides highlighted the importance of boosting and diversifying the cooperation in the fields of common interest, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.
At the same time, the interlocutors agreed on the need to deepen the sectoral economic cooperation and turn to good account the opportunities of cooperation in the sectors of agriculture, food industry, public money, digitalization and energy. In this respect, the sides established the need to summon the fifth meeting of the Moldovan-Hungarian inter-governmental commission for economic cooperation.
„Along with Deputy Prime Minister Zsolt Semjén, we have considered ways of accessing opportunities within the Three Seas Initiative. As for the regional security, we exchanged opinions on its impact on the region of the Central and Eastern Europe,’’ Deputy PM Nicu Popescu said.
The Moldovan diplomacy head pays a working visit to Budapest on 3-4 February.
