Chisinau, 7 February /MOLDPRES/ - The National Motor Transport Agency (ANTA) informs that only some of the road traffic routes have been suspended. The information was updated as to the situation dealing with the providing of passenger transport services on the district and inter-district routes, in the context of the strike announced for 7-9 February.
„Most carriers continue to responsibly provide public services to citizens. We thank them on this occasion. So far, no complaints on behalf of citizens have been registered at the ministry and at ANTA, saying that they would be limited by the public transport,’’ the institution says.
Also, ANTA informed that consultations had been completed on the Order concerning the establishment of the tariffs for carrying out road passenger transportations through regular services in district and inter-district traffic.
„A new discussion with transport operators on conclusions of the consultations will take place at the headquarters of the Infrastructure and Regional Development Ministry on 10 February,’’ a press release by ANTA reads.
The Association of Employers of Motor Transport Operators said the carriers, as a token of protest, would cease the work on regular routes on 7-9 February, if the ministry does not fulfill the earlier announced requirements – increase the tariffs for passengers.
