In Chisinau, only three hospitals provide treatment for coronavirus patients

Chisinau, March 21 / MOLDPRES /- The health authorities of Chisinau municipality have reduced to three the number of hospital institutions that provide COVID-19 treatment.

The head of the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Health of the Chisinau Municipal Council, Boris Gâlcă, declared today during the online meeting of the municipal services that only three hospital institutions currently provide treatment to patients with COVID-19. "We have reduced to three the number of hospitals that treat coronavirus patients - Maternity No. 2, Archangel Michael Hospital and Infectious Diseases Hospital for Children," the official said.

The person in charge specified that the municipality allocated to the patients with COVID-19 a total of 165 treatment beds and nine places in Intensive Care. "Statistics show that the number of patients is decreasing and there are no deaths due to COVID-19," said Gâlcă.

In the last 24 hours, there have been 240 cases of infection with the new coronavirus in the Republic of Moldova and no deaths.
