State of Qatar donates consignment of humanitarian assistance for refugees

Chisinau, 21 March /MOLDPRES/ - The State of Qatar, through its Embassy in Chisinau, today donated a consignment of humanitarian assistance for the refugees accommodated at the Moldexpo Centre.

Attending the ceremony of donation’s delivery was Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Moldova Hamad Bin Rashid al Athba and the director of the Moldexpo Centre, Carolina Chiper.

The Qatari diplomat said the donation came as a support for Moldova’s government, which faces a crisis of refugees, in the context of the war in Ukraine.

For her part, the Moldexpo head thanked the State of Qatar for the generous humanitarian gesture.

The today’s donation consists of clothes, blankets, mattresses, medicines and food products. The Interior Ministry and the Health Ministry received batches of assistance on behalf of Qatar in 2021.
