Chisinau, March 30 / MOLDPRES /- Slovakia will provide a 50,000-euro batch of humanitarian aid to the Republic of Moldova. The announcement was made by President of the Slovak Republic Zuzana Čaputová in Chisinau, during a joint press conference with Moldovan President Maia Sandu.

The head of state said that Slovakia has been close to the Republic of Moldova for the last 30 years and supported the reform processes started by our country. "Slovakia has always been with the Republic of Moldova, providing assistance through various projects. Moldovan students can also get scholarships offered by Slovakia. We greatly appreciate Bratislava's support for Moldova's accession to the European Union. We thus reaffirm Moldova's attachment to EU values. Since February 24, we have been living in a gloomy and uncertain reality. The challenges of the war put the Republic of Moldova in an uncertain situation. At the same time, thank you for the humanitarian aid you brought to Chisinau today, "said Sandu.

The Slovak president reiterated the country's support for Moldova's European vector and noted that the aid brought to Chisinau today is only part of what is planned for the Republic of Moldova. "Slovakia supports Moldova's European ambitions. We consider you an integral part of the EU and EU values. Of course there are several reforms that need to be implemented and here we can work together. The democratic world must be united, "added Zuzana Čaputová.
