Ministers held minute's silence in memory of Ukrainians killed in war

Chisinau, April 4 / MOLDPRES /- Today's meeting of the Executive began with a minute's silence in memory of the Ukrainians killed in the war. Also today, President Maia Sandu signed a decree by which April 4, 2022 is declared a day of mourning throughout the country.
Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița reiterated that our country condemns the horrors committed in Ukraine and pleads for peace.
President Maia Sandu also wrote on her official website that Moldova, together with the whole world, is shocked by the massacre in the city of Bucea near Kyiv. "Moldova strongly condemns these crimes against humanity, just as it condemns this illegal and unprovoked war waged by the Russian Federation against Ukraine," Sandu said.
According to the decree of the head of state, today the mourning is instituted to commemorate all the victims of the war launched by the Russian Federation against Ukraine, on February 24, 2022, and as a sign of deep compassion and solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
