Chisinau, April 19 / MOLDPRES /- More young people in the security zone will benefit from support in their social inclusion, thanks to a project supported by the European Union.

The project will be carried out by the Center for Social Justice Equity in collaboration with Dubasari and Criuleni Labor Offices. The institutions have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation and aim to identify 18 young people in the security zone who "will benefit from support in their educational and vocational inclusion, including employment, or in developing a business for a more secure future."

The actions are carried out under the project Equal opportunities for all and everyone which is part of the program Better opportunities for young people without education, training and employment - NEET Youth Inclusion Initiative.

It is carried out by the Eastern European Foundation, in partnership with the National Youth Council of Moldova, the Partnership for Development Center and the Transnistrian Regional Development Agency, funded by the European Union and co-financed by Sweden.

The Security Zone has a length of 225 km and a width of 12-20 km, divided into three sections: North, Center and South (the largest are the North and South sections, respectively 85 and 80 km long) and an area with a enhanced security regime - Bender / Tighina. The Security Zone mainly covers the territory of the Transnistrian region, controlled by the separatist regime in Tiraspol (about 60% of the area). At the same time, it occupies almost 5% of the total area of the Republic of Moldova. The area includes 110 localities, with about 600 thousand inhabitants. Tighina city (Bender) was designated, by the Agreement of July 21, 1992, a district with an increased security regime within the Area.
