Moldovan capital's residents to know where public transport is in real time

Chisinau, 20 April /MOLDPRES/ - The trolley buses from the Chisinau city will be able to be watched by passengers in real time on an online application.

The Chisinau Electric Transport Administration (RTEC) has informed that, following a tender, the winner of a contract on acquisitions for elaborating GPS data for the trolley buses from the Moldovan capital was appointed.

According to RTEC, the project is priority for ensuring an efficient service of public passenger transport. It is about the carrying out of a platform, which will allow visualizing, in real time, each transport unit which is moving. The application will have an interface friendly to the user and will be able to be utilized both on desktop devices and on mobile ones.

At the same time, the Chisinau city hall said that the second provider of services of public passenger transport, Urban Park of Buses, is at the stage of working out the tender book for the next tender on contracting the intelligent system of GPS monitoring of the public transport.
