Moldovans returning home permanently to benefit from tax, customs facilities

Chisinau, April 28 / MOLDPRES /- President Maia Sandu has sent to the Parliament a legislative initiative establishing the granting of fiscal and customs facilities for our citizens who decide to return to live in Moldova.

The bill proposes exemptions from the payment of import duties for the introduction into the country of personal goods and a means of transport. The provisions will apply to persons who have been abroad for at least 36 months during the last 48 months. For the granting of the facilities, the citizens will submit an application, accompanied by confirmatory documents.

The head of state said "the return of citizens must be simple and not cost." "We have started a complex process of transforming the country, and in order to succeed, the Republic of Moldova needs people. We are determined to improve our living conditions at home and to create jobs so that our citizens can build their future here ", said Sandu.
