Chisinau, May 3 / MOLDPRES /- Citizens who have an innovative idea for cultural tourism through services or products will be able to participate in Hackathon in Brussels this September, accessing a training program in which they will develop solutions to promote the tourist route Voivode Stephen the Great in Romania and Moldova. The deadline for submitting applications is May 12.

Thus, participants will be able to enter the competition for the prize of 16,500 euros to implement the winning solution.

Following this call for proposals, 19 applications (four of which are from Romania and Moldova) will be selected to participate in Be.CULTOUR Hackathon event, due in Brussels on September 7-9, 2022.

"Selected applicants will be offered the opportunity to access Be.CULTOUR Accelerator, a free training program for four months, during which they will have the opportunity to develop innovative solutions. The winning team will receive a prize of 16,500 euros for the implementation of the solution ", a communiqué of the project reads.

In 2019, Moldova and Romania jointly created a cross-border route Voivode Stephen the Great, which includes 29 tourist attractions on both banks of the Prut, historically linked to the name of the Grand Duke. They are directly related to the life of Stephen the Great and have a cultural-historical value for us as a nation as well as an important element of identity through which we can talk to foreign tourists about our past and present.
