Moldovan president meets people from localities near Dniester

Chisinau, May 6 / MOLDPRES /- President Maia Sandu visited two localities near the Dniester yesterday - Boșcana and Coşnița, the presidential press service has reported.

"In Boșcana, on the right bank, and in Coşnița, on the left bank people are worried about the situation in the region. We assured them that the security of the citizens on both sides is our major concern and that we will make every effort to keep the peace and tranquility in our country ", the head of state said.

The discussions with the inhabitants also addressed the economic and social issues, amplified by the crises we face. Issues related to justice reform and energy security were also discussed. The head of state said there is much to be done to improve people's living conditions.

"But now, more than ever, it is important to be united and to respond to challenges with solidarity and responsibility, as a mature society that fully assumes its chosen path of development - a peaceful, democratic path. A European way ", said Maia Sandu.
