Moldovan deputy premier for reintegration meets head of EU Delegation to Moldova

Chisinau, May 10 / MOLDPRES /- Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian received today the head of the European Union Delegation to the Republic of Moldova, Jānis Mažeiks, the Office for Reintegration Policy has reported.

Discussions focused on the Transnistrian settlement negotiation process, current issues on the agenda of the Chisinau-Tiraspol dialogue, the regional situation, priorities and measures taken by Moldovan authorities to resolve the problems of residents on both banks of the Dniester.

The officials approached Chisinau's efforts to maintain the dynamics of interaction at the level of sectoral political representatives and working groups, as well as approaches to the viable resolution of topical issues on the agenda.

Also, the significant contribution made by the European Union as a player in the 5 + 2 negotiating format, a donor in the implementation of multiple assistance projects, including in terms of promoting confidence-building measures, offering multisectoral assistance in in order to ensure the good fulfillment of the commitments assumed through the Association Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union.
