ANRE set price for petrol of 28.95, diesel - 27.84 lei / liter for 12 May

Chisinau, May 11 / MOLDPRES /- According to the pricing algorithm based on the average value of the average Platts quotations for the previous 14 days correlated with MDL /dollar exchange rate, for May 12 the following maximum retail prices of the main petroleum products of the standard type are set: for COR 95 petrol - 28.95 lei / liter (+ 0.17 bani); for diesel - 27.84 lei / liter (- 0.06 bani), the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) has reported.

According to the institution, the rise in fuel prices in recent days reflects the reaction of international stock markets to the growing demand from the Ukrainian market and the intense discussions within the European Union on plans for a total refusal of import of crude oil and products derived from the Russian Federation,

"As a result, both Brent crude oil prices and Platts quotations for diesel and especially gasoline increased considerably during the previous week, reaching a maximum of $ 114 / barrel of oil and $ 1194 / ton of gasoline.

At the same time, in the last few days we can see a slight decrease in international quotations, which for tomorrow will be reflected in the price of the diesel panel ", indicates ANRE.

In line with the logic of the current pricing mechanism, the Agency assures consumers that in the event of a stabilization of the market and a further decline in foreign exchange prices in the next period, that curve will also be accurately reflected at filling stations in the country.
