Administrators of company managing sand quarry in Anenii Noi to be investigated

Chisinau, May 13 /MOLDPRES/- During January-April 2022, officials of the National Investigations Directorate of the National Investigation Inspectorate documented the illegal activity of a company managing a sand quarry in Anenii Noi district, causing material damage of several million lei.

According to the police, the company's decision-makers ordered the extraction of sand from the territories that did not have this destination. Knowing about the need to carry out the procedure for changing the destination of the land, they ignored the provisions of the legislation and continued the mining works.

As a result, large amounts of sand were extracted from 23 agricultural lands, but also on an area of ​​0.20 ha from the country roads, which constitute public property.

In this regard, the relevant bodies were called in, namely the Inspectorate for Environmental Protection and the Institute for Spatial Planning, which found that the actions of the company's decision-makers had caused material damage to the local public administration, within which find out the lands, worth over 9 million lei.

In this case, a criminal case was filed for arbitrariness, ie the exercise of a legitimate or arbitrarily presumed right and in violation of the established order, causing serious damage to public interests or the rights and interests protected by law of individuals or legal entities. If found guilty, the suspects risk 3 to 8 years in prison.
