About 250 drivers detected driving drunk in Moldova

Chisinau, 17 May /MOLDPRES/ - About 250 drivers were detected driving drunk in the first half of this month.
According to the General Police Inspectorate, over 150 drivers out of their all number were in advanced state of ebriety.
The minimal level of alcohol is a concentration of alcohol in blood from 0.3 to 0.5 g/litre or concentration of alcohol vapors in the breathed out air from 0.15 up to 0.3 g/litre. The high level of ebriety is a concentration of alcohol in blood of 0.5 g/litre and more or the concentration of alcohol vapors in the breathed out air of 0.3 mg/litre and more.
Under the legislation, if driving drunk a transport means, the guilty person runs the risk of being punished with non-remunerated labour for the benefit of the community from 200 to 240 hours, with the cancellation of the right to drive transport means.
