Salaries of employees of education institutions working in regime of financial, economic self-management to be increased in Moldova

Chisinau, 18 May /MOLDPRES/ - The minimum salary of the employees from the self-managed education institutions will be increased from 2,000 to 3,500 lei. A decision to this end was approved at a cabinet meeting today, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.      

The cabinet also extended the list of beneficiaries of monthly increase for the holding of scientific or scientific and didactic titles. Scientific researchers, the leadership staff working in organizations from the research and innovation sectors, as well as the leadership staff from the higher education will benefit from financial support on behalf of the state.   

Also, under the today’s decision, the cabinet increased by seven positions the wage class for the leadership staff (director and deputy director) at the public vocational education institutions; the cabinet also increased the benefit for the honorific titles of People’s Artist and Master in Art from 200 to 250 lei; from 100 to 150 lei – for the titles of Merited, Merited Man, Master of Literature and Master; from 100 to 150 lei for the titles Merited Master of Sport and International Master; from 30 to 100 lei – for the title Master of Sport.  

The annual cost estimated for the implementation of the draft is of 82.5 million lei, due to be allocated from the state budget.

The salary increases represent a commitment of the cabinet, assumed in the government’s action programme. The draft was worked out by the Education and Research Ministry.
