Regional authorities organized trainings in support of cities poles of growth

Chisinau, May 27 / MOLDPRES /- A group of representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Regional Development Agencies and city halls of the cities poles of growth of Moldova participated on May 25-27 in strategic planning trainings for sustainable and integrated urban development, led by a mixed team of trainers from our country and Romania.

"During the three days of training, participants learned to develop strategies for implementing and budgeting capital investments, applying participatory planning tools and collaborating in participatory processes, from and between the teams of the Project Implementation Units in cities poles of growth and Regional Development Agencies ”, according to the organizers.

This activity is implemented in the context of the implementation of the National Program for the Development of cities poles of growth with the support of the Polish Development Cooperation Program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland (Polish aid) and the Polish Embassy in Chisinau.

In 2021-2027, six municipalities in the country will be turned into developed regional centers in Moldova. To this end, the government approved in 2020 the national program on development of cities poles of Cahul, Comrat, Ungheni, Orhei, Soroca and Edinet.
