Urban revitalization project to be carried out in Ocnița

Chisinau, May 30 / MOLDPRES /- The North Regional Development Agency (ADR), Ocnita city hall and a designated company have signed an enterprise contract under the infrastructure project Keeping the past for the future - Rehabilitation of the historical heritage of Ocnita for future generations, funded by the National Development Fund Regional and Local Government (FNDRL).

According to the contract, within six months, starting with May 2022, the contractor undertook to carry out landscaping works and the repair of the historical-architectural area of Ocnița, as well as three streets in the locality.

“The contractor is to execute the works specified in the enterprise contract in accordance with the provisions of the technical project, as well as with the norms, standards and technical prescriptions. The value of the enterprise contract is 6.22 million lei (over three hundred thousand euros), the contribution of the City Hall of Ocnita being 10% ", ADR Nord said.

This year, according to FNDRL sources, ADR Nord is implementing three new urban revitalization projects in the north of the country. One of them is the project Keeping the past for the future - Rehabilitation of the historical heritage of Ocnița for future generations, submitted by the Ocnița city hall in the Call for selection of regional development projects for 2021-2023. According to the North Regional Operational Program for 2022-2024, such projects aim to strengthen the role and functions of cities in increasing the competitiveness of the region.
