Moldovan president meets director of UN Development Programme's regional office

Chisinau, 3 June /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu has met the director of the United Nations Development Programme’s (UNDP) regional office, Mirjana Špoljarić Egger, the presidential press service reported.

The sides tackled subjects on the bilateral cooperation, especially in order to overcome the economic crisis and carry out local development projects.

The head of state noted that the government team continued the process of reforms, the goal of which is to get Moldova closer to the European Union’s standards.

For her part, the UNDP official gave assurances that the United Nations would continue backing Moldova both to diminish the social and economic consequences of the war in Ukraine and for transforming the country and improving the citizens’ living.
