Moldovan deputy PM meets United Nations Resident Coordinator in Moldova

Chisinau, 22 June /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian today had a working meeting with United Nations Resident Coordinator in Moldova Simon Springett. Attending the event were representatives of UN agencies, Reintegration Policies Bureau, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) and the Office of Ombudsman, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.
The meeting was dedicated to consultations on potential new initiatives of assistance projects due to regard beneficiaries from both banks of Dniester and to contribute to building confidence, maintaining sustainable peace, accomplishing social cohesion, promoting the agenda, Women, Peace and Security, and the observance of human rights according to the international standards in force, etc.
The sides exchanged opinions and suggestions and expressed willingness to continue consultations on this subject and promote initiatives due to back the implementation of Moldova’s reintegration goal and improve the situation of human rights in the country’s eastern districts.
