Chisinau, 12 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Civil Aviation Authority (AAC) of Moldova has issued an administrative act, thereby cutting the number of authorizations issued for the Fly One air company. Deputy Prime Minister, Infrastructure and Regional Development Minister Andrei Spinu made statements to this effect today.

“Thus, 23 out of 38 authorizations were suspended till the situation is remedied. These interventions will not hit passengers, as the air company is to fulfill its duties of carrying passengers, according to the tickets sold,’’ Andrei Spinu said.

According to the official, additionally, AAC was asked to prepare amendments to normative acts, ‘’which are to increase the contraventions and so that we have clear-cut norms for the suspension/withdrawal of the authorizations for regular/irregular flights in the case of infringements which harm the rights of consumers. We are to verify the work of all air companies and we will take similar decisions, if necessary.’’

The authorities’ decision was taken, after passengers suffering from the suspension and cancellation of flights made by airships of the aforementioned company had lately made more complaints.
