Investments worth over seven million euros to be made to modernize hospital sector of Moldova

Chisinau, 13 July /MOLDPRES/ - Five public medical and sanitary institutions from Moldova will be endowed with last generation medical devices, purchased with the non-refundable financial support of the government of Japan. The cabinet of ministers approved, to this end, the signing of an agreement on the implementation of the Programme on Consolidation of the Medical System, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.    

The programme will contribute to the enhancement of the capacities of diagnosing and treatment through the use of modern medical devices, such as digital radiology apparatus, ventilators, anaesthesis apparatus, operation tables, etc.    

Through signing the agreement, concluded by exchange of notes between the governments of Moldova and Japan, it will be possible to turn to good account the financial assistance in form of grant, which amounts to one billion Japanese yen, equivalent to over seven million euros.
