Over 30 parental assistants in Moldovan capital to receive material aid worth 1,000 lei

Chisinau, 4 Aug. /MOLDPRES/- More than 30 parental assistants in the capital will receive material aid in the amount of 1,000 lei. The decision was taken yesterday by the Municipal Commission for establishing and granting material aid.

According to Chisinau City Hall, the specialists take care of foster children 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, but, according to the legal framework, they are only paid for 5 working days.

At the same time, the Commission ordered that three children, placed in the Professional Parental Assistance Service, benefit from financial support in the amount of 5000 lei, in order to prepare them for the new school year.

Also, five people from low-income families, suffering from serious illnesses, will benefit from material aid in the amount of 95 thousand lei for expensive surgical treatments.

The capital city hall will also grant a one-time aid of 500 lei for 76 active blood donors, who are members of the Association of Donors from the Republic of Moldova.

For the implementation of these actions, 180 thousand lei (about 9000 euros) were allocated from the municipal budget.
