IGP benefited from equipment donated by US Embassy

Chisinau, August 18 /MOLDPRES/- A set of equipment was donated today to the General Police Inspectorate (IGP) by the US Embassy in the Republic of Moldova.

According to the IGP, the donation includes computers, a generator and tablets with support for use in transport units. The action aims to digitize some work processes, and to ensure the mobility and operativeness of the intervention.

"We thank our partners from the US Embassy in the Republic of Moldova for the continuous openness and valuable support offered to the police. We appreciate the donation offered and I am convinced that our collaborative relations will bring major benefits for the improvement of the police system, but also for increasing the safety of citizens in the community" said the head of the IGP, Viorel Cernăuțeanu.

A part of the donation is to be distributed to the police officers on the front line, who interact with the citizens. At the same time, through the assistance offered, it is proposed to improve the institutional capacities in the field of information analysis, in order to be able to face the existing threats in society and increase the safety of citizens.
