Single Crisis Management Center presented financial report on use of donations to support refugees

Chisinau, August 18 /MOLDPRES/- Single Crisis Management Center (CUGC), with the technical support of the UN Refugee Agency worked out an online financial reporting tool on the use of donations collected in the accounts of the Ministry of Finance, for the management of the refugee crisis in Ukraine. The financial report can be accessed on the Government's website: https://bit.ly/3SSr0kN and contains information on the types of expenses made from the amounts received, the localities and the beneficiary institutions, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

In total, over 162 million lei were accumulated on the accounts opened by the Ministry of Finance. In March-July 2022, of this amount, over 82 million lei were allocated, based on the request, to some institutions, such as: the State Chancellery, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, the Ministry of Education and Research, the Ministry of Labor and Protection Social, Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development. At the same time, the money for managing the refugee crisis in Ukraine was distributed to the Executive Committee of Gagauzia, district councils and town halls in the country. Until the current July 31, of the amount of 82 million lei, more than 43 million lei were used.

Currently, there are over 80 thousand refugees from Ukraine on the territory of the Republic of Moldova. There are 74 temporary placement centers operating in the country, which host more than 3,000 Ukrainian refugees.
