Tax officials paid 72 visits to town halls in Moldova

Chisinau, 8 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- Employees of the State Tax Service (SFS) organized on 22-31 August 72 visits to town halls in the country, in the context of the implementation of the Taxpayer's Day.
About one thousand taxpayers were served, and 951 fiscal issues were addressed. "Currently, 932 cases have already been resolved and another 19 are underway. During the visits, the tax obligations of the taxpayers were checked, while the income tax statements were received. The tax officials had discussions with the arrears taxpayers with a view to their payment of the tax obligations towards the national public budget", the SFS said.
Taxpayer service and advisory activities, through the Taxpayer's Day aim to increase the degree of satisfaction with the activity of the tax authority and, respectively, the voluntary compliance of taxpayers with respect to tax obligations.
The employees of the national tax authority will continue their visits to the local public administration where they will serve the taxpayers according to the established attributions.
