Water supply system in Glodeni to be modernized

Chisinau, 9 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- In Glodeni the construction and installation of a new sewage treatment plant, the renovation of the wastewater pumping station and the installation of 3 km of sewage networks will be carried out by late 2023.

"About 19 thousand residents of Glodeni city and Hâjdieni, Danu and Dușmani villages will benefit from quality sanitation services. The same services will be offered to 561 economic agents and 25 public institutions from the localities. The beneficiaries of this investment claim that following the completion of the project, 12 new jobs will be created in Glodeni", the Regional Development Agency (ADR) North said.

The value of the joint venture contract is 18.44 million lei (about one million euros), from the sources of the National Fund for Regional and Local Development (FNDRL). The contribution of the District Council and the Glodeni City Hall is 10% of the allocated amount.

This year, from the sources of the FNDRL, ADR Nord is implementing six new water supply and sanitation projects (AAS) in the north of the country, one of which involves the development of a pre-feasibility study targeting 33 localities in the districts of Dondușeni, Soroca and Ocnița. One of the six investment measures in the field of AAS refers to the project Modern sanitation systems for the citizens of Glodeni district, submitted by the District Council within the Call for the selection of regional development projects for 2021-2023.
