Moldovan parliament speaker, group of MPs sign in Book of Condolences at UK Embassy

Chisinau, 9 September /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu, along with a group of lawmakers have signed in the Book of Condolences opened at the Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, in the memory of Queen Elizabeth II. The MPs laid flowers and stood silent for one minute in the memory of the Queen, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
”The Queen Elizabeth II was not only a symbol of the nation, but also a model of political duty, moderation and wisdom. She guided the nation both for better and for worse and as nobody else she was able to unite people, nations and destinies. She was a great personality, who will occupy the well-deserved place in the history textbooks. Deep condolences to the Royal Family and the nation of the United Kingdom,’’ reads the message conveyed by Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu.
