Moldovan foreign affairs minister meets heads of diplomatic missions of EU member states, G7 states, international organizations accredited in Chisinau

Chisinau, 13 September /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu has met the heads of the diplomatic missions from the European Union member states, G7 states and of the international organizations accredited in Chisinau, in order to discuss the next steps in the process of implementation of the reforms on the way of Moldova’s accession to EU.   

The Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) public diplomacy, strategic communication and media interaction service has reported that, during the dialogue with the ambassadors, the Moldovan official informed about the process of consultations, elaboration of the action plan, its approval in the National Commission for European Integration and about the firm determination of its implementation by the national competent institutions.   

„I highlighted the importance of the support of our partners to help us cope with the dramatic situation created by Russia’s war against Ukraine and its social and economic impact on Moldova.

Also, at the meeting, along with the head of the office of President Maia Sandu, Ecaterina Casinge, we referred to the Moldova Support Platform, the third edition of which will be held in Paris. We will coordinate the authorities’ efforts, in order to ensure an as punctual as possible carrying out of the initiatives due to help us overcome the current and future challenges,’’ Minister Nicu Popescu stressed.
