Unemployed people to receive vouchers for professional training in Moldova

Chisinau, 30 September /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament had approved the establishment of vouchers for professional training. A draft law on the amendment of the law on the promotion of employment and unemployment benefit was voted in the second reading today.  

Under the document, the vouchers will give jobless people right to professional training. They will be issued by the National Employment Agency. Thus, the unemployed person will be able to choose the provider of professional training from the list of the accredited ones, public or private.  

According to the authors, the use of this instrument can contribute to the optimization of the active policy as to the labour force market, providing relevant and efficient programmes in various geographical areas of Moldova. At the same time, such instruments are successfully used in the United States and the EU member countries.

Annually till 31 December, the Labour and Social Protection Ministry will publish the list of authorized providers of professional training courses on the webpage.
