Moldovan authorities condemn Russia's attacks on several regions of Ukraine

Chisinau, Oct. 10 /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu condemned Russia's attacks this morning on several regions of Ukraine.
The official said that attacks against civilians are war crimes and serious violations of humanitarian law. "I vehemently condemn Russia's criminal attacks on several regions of Ukraine. The people of Kyiv, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, Ternopil, Zhitomir and other localities suffered. The bombing of homes, the transport network, energy infrastructure and other civilian targets must be stopped immediately. The Republic of Moldova is with the people of Ukraine, we will offer all the support to those who will seek shelter in our country", wrote Maia Sandu on a social network.
At the same time, following the rocket attacks on the city of Kyiv, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova announced that the embassy staff is safe. "The embassy remains in touch with the Ukrainian authorities. Among the victims are not citizens of our country. The Republic of Moldova strongly condemns Russia's relentless attacks against civilians throughout Ukraine, resulting in dozens of victims. The flagrant violation of international law by targeting civilian targets is inadmissible," the ministry announced.
This morning, Russia launched missiles in the Ukrainian capital, as well as in other cities of the country. Victims were recorded as a result of the explosions.
