Moldovan diplomacy head has meeting with Luxembourg parliament speaker

Chisinau, 14 October /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu has had a meeting with President of the Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg Fernand Etgen. The Moldovan official expressed interest in the boosting of the inter-parliamentary cooperation in the context pf the Moldova’s accelerated agenda of accession to the European Union, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.
„I highlighted the constant evolution of the dialogue on the period of those three decades since the establishment of the diplomatic relations, as well as the perspectives of extending the Moldovan-Luxembourg cooperation both in the political sector and in more other fields, among which the commercial and economic sector, financial and banking one, environment, tourism and domestic affairs,’’ Minister Nicu Popescu said.
The Moldovan official discussed with the president of the Chamber of Deputies the process of Moldova’s accession to EU, the agenda of domestic reforms in the country, the problems concerning the regional security in the wake of Russia’s war against Ukraine and the strengthening of the sectoral interaction between the two countries. Popescu invited Luxembourg lawmakers to visit Moldova, in order to continue the fruitful discussions of consolidating the bilateral dialogue.
