French justice sector employees appreciate Moldovan governance's firm commitment to clean justice

Chisinau, 21 October /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today met a team of judges and prosecutors specialized in cases of crime assets’ recovery.

According to the presidential press service, during discussions with French experts, famous for settling big corruption cases, President Maia Sandu stressed that the pace of Moldova’s development depended on the quickness and quality of the work on corruption files. It is necessary that we advance on the cases of big corruption, especially the ones with high impact, which caused huge damages to the state and citizens.

The head of state said that the competent institutions from Moldova relied on the cooperation and exchange of good practices with French partners. It is necessary that the authors of the big corruption schemes to be punished and the money stolen and invested in properties from France should be returned home. The French justice sector employees appreciated the Moldovan governance’s firm commitment to clean the justice and combat corruption and showed interest in a close cooperation with the country’s authorities.
