Moldovan Foreign Affairs Ministry official, special representative of Polish OSCE chairmanship discuss latest developments in Transnistrian settlement process

Chisinau, 24 October /MOLDPRES/ - State secretary Vladimir Cuc today had a meeting with a delegation of the Polish OSCE Chairmanship, led by Special Representative, Ambassador Thomas Mayr-Harting, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.
At the discussion, the officials exchanged opinions on the latest developments in the Transnistrian settlement process. The sides discussed the agenda of contacts with the OSCE Chairmanship till the end of this year.
State secretary Vladimir Cuc stressed that the Moldovan authorities remained focused on the ensuring of peace and stability on both banks of Dniester, through maintaining the dialogue in the current formats. Cuc stressed that the war started by Russia against Ukraine continued to trigger concrete security risks and in the last period, it caused a more and more pronounced impact on the energy security on both banks of Dniester.
The Moldovan diplomat reiterated the Chisinau authorities’ commitment to continue efforts to identify viable solutions to the urgent problems. At the same time, Vladimir Cuc informed about the concerns as to the constant infringements of human rights in the Transnistrian region. He also highlighted the importance of maintaining order and stability in the Security Zone.
