General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations warns people about danger of gas cylinder exploitation

Chisinau, Oct. 28 /MOLDPRES/- Before heating season, the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) repeatedly warns citizens that the use of propane gas cylinders in homes is dangerous.

According to the IGSU, specialists urge people to avoid exploitation, use and loading of cylinders. "If people choose to use them, it is recommended to place the bottles in metal boxes outside the rooms at a minimum distance of 5 meters from the entrance to the home. Furthermore, spare cylinders should only be kept outdoors away from rooms. At the same time, the use of defective cylinders and hoses is prohibited", a press release by IGSU reads.

Also, to avoid risky situations, the rescuers recommend citizens to thoroughly check all installations that operate under natural gas, and in case of malfunctions, to request the help of specialists in the field.
