Six veterans to receive assistance on behalf of state to buy or renovate dwellings in Moldova

Chisinau, 9 November /MOLDPRES/ - Six veterans from six districts of Moldova will receive a one-off allowance on behalf of the state for the construction or purchasing of a dwelling. The cabinet approved a decision to this end today, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Among the beneficiaries, there are three participants in the combat actions in Afghanistan and three participants in the combat actions for the defence of Moldova’s territorial integrity and independence.
As much as 246,000 lei was earmarked from the state budget on this purpose. The money will be transferred to second-level local public authorities. Thus, 41,000 lei will be directed to the Chisinau city, the districts of Cahul, Causeni, Drochia, Rascani and Ungheni each.
The one-off allowances for the building or buying of dwelling is annually provided to people who suffered in the wake of armed conflicts and their families, victims of the Chernobyl accident and war veterans.
A sum of 500,000 lei was envisaged for providing allowances in the budget this year.
