Programme of greening of Moldovan small-, medium-sized enterprises extended, grant's value increased up to 500,000 lei

Chisinau, 9 November /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers today approved amendments to the programme of greening of the small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). As a result of the changes, the grant’s value will be increased up to 500,000 lei. At the same time, the term of the programme’s implementation was extended by another 36 months, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.  

The programme, implemented by the Entrepreneurship Development Organization (ODA), has the goal to back the SMEs in the implementation of environmentally friendly practices and in identifying the best solutions and technologies as to the correct management of waste. Another goal of the programme is to promote, support and develop the capacities of small- and medium-sized enterprises for the processes of production and providing of services.    

The entrepreneurs selected will benefit from: informing, consultancy and training in the working out of greening action plans; elaboration and implementation of action plans and measures of greening the business; implementation of international standards of ecological certification and labeling (ISO and EMAS).   

On the period November 2020 – August 2022, 85 companies from diverse sectors benefited from grants. Diverse equipment and energy efficient equipment was set at these companies, among which: ventilation and thermal recovery systems; equipment for the implementation of circular economy; water-purifying stations; systems of collecting rain water; equipment which eliminates less CO2; presses for baling waste; dust bins; services of certification relevant for greening; equipment of sorting dangerous waste, etc.
