Moldovan foreign affairs minister, defence minister pay visit to Paris

Chisinau, 10 November /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu, along with Defence Minister Anatolie Nosatii pay a working visit to Paris.   

According to the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE), the visit takes place, in order to promote Moldova’s European integration agenda, thus contributing to the strengthening of the political dialogue and cooperation relations in priority sectors for both states, as well as to discuss the energy crisis faced by the country, as well as risks to Moldova’s security and the cooperation in the defence field.     

On 10 November, within the bilateral agenda, the Moldovan diplomacy head, Nicu Popescu, and Defence Minister Anatolie Nosatii will meet high-ranking French officials: Minister of the Armed Forces Sébastien Lecornu, secretary general for European affairs, French PM’s adviser for Europe Emmanuel Puisais-Jauvin, president of the National Assembly’s Foreign Affairs Committee Jean-Louis Bourlanges.   

Also, the Moldovan official will meet Deputy Secretary General of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Ulrik Vestergaard Knudsen, who is in charge of the cooperation with the OECD non-member countries.  

On 11 November, Deputy PM Nicu Popescu will participate in the Paris Peace Forum.
