Procedure for opening bank account to become easier

Chisinau, Nov. 11 /MOLDPRES/- The promulgation decree and the Law amending Article 129 of the Fiscal Code No1163/1997 were published in the Official Journal today.

Thus, the unpaid amount of tax obligations up to 100 lei will not be considered arrears to the national public budget in the case of opening the bank account and taking it into fiscal records.

The document sees the amendment of Article 129 of the Fiscal Code and aims to facilitate the establishment of businesses by simplifying the procedure for opening bank accounts or payments by both legal entities and private people.

According to the current variant of the Fiscal Code, if the taxpayer has arrears, even up to 100 lei, the State Tax Service has the right not to issue the document confirming the fiscal registration of the bank account.

The law enters into force at the expiration of six months from the publication in the Official Journal of the Republic of Moldova.
