Chisinau, 15 November /MOLDPRES/ - The risks for Moldova to remain in blackout remain high and we repeatedly ask Russia to cease the attacks against the Ukrainian critical infrastructure. Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu today made statements to this effect following the attack with missiles launched by Russia in Ukraine. This triggered the automatic disconnection of a power line which provided the transportation of electric energy for Moldova and dozens of settlements remained in blackout.
„Today, we again saw how this unjust war from Ukraine directly hits Moldova. Unfortunately, the Russian attacks against the Ukrainian infrastructure left most regions of Moldova without power supply. Fortunately, this time, we were able to quickly reconnect the settlements which remained in blackout. Nevertheless, the risks to remain without electricity supply remain high and we again ask Russia to cease the attacks against the Ukrainian critical infrastructure,’’ Grosu said.
