Chisinau, 18 November /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita today participated in an event organized by the American Chamber of Commerce from Moldova (AmCham), on the occasion of the Thanksgiving Day, marked by the American nation. In her speech, the PM appreciated the contribution of AmCham Moldova to the improvement of the legal framework which regulates the entrepreneurial activity. Gavrilita stressed that the best decisions for business can be taken only when there is productive dialogue between the authorities and the business environment, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

The prime minister appreciated the proposals on behalf of AmCham Moldova on the amendment of the Labour Code and Land Code, as well as adoption of the new law on copyrights and related rights. At the same time, Natalia Gavrilita noted that there was still a list of problems faced by the business people, as the authorities are concerned about the ensuring of a correct competition environment, of combating corruption at all levels and of attracting new investments in Moldova.

„We have made important steps also in the digitalization sector, in order to reduce the bureaucratic burden for companies. Unfortunately, the consequences of the war put us in the situation to allocate financial and human resources for managing multiple crises, slowing down, sometimes, the reforms which we everybody want. Nevertheless, we move further on the way of changes, in order to edify a modern state, with a resilient economy and a prosperous society. The getting of the status of country candidate for accession to EU is not only recognition of  our efforts, but also the guarantee that the reforms underway are irreversible,’’ Natalia Gavrilita said.

The AmCham representatives praised the cabinet’s actions for getting the status of country candidate for accession to EU, the efforts to attract investments, as well as the measures of promoting regulatory changes with positive impact on the business environment. At the same time, they referred to subjects which concern the business community, voicing confidence that they would remain priority on the government’s agenda.
