Chisinau, 23 November /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita has urged the citizens to be united and with solidarity, ‘’in order to overcome this new ordeal.’’ The PM made the urge, given the disconnection from power supply in Moldova, triggered by Russian bombardments against the Ukrainian energy system.
The official stressed that the country today was facing the situation recorded one week ago, when Moldova was hit too, because of Russian army’s bombardments against the Ukrainian energy system.
„More cities from Ukraine are hit by missiles which destroy houses, roads, people’s lives. In Moldova, this led to a damage disconnection of the electric energy system, in the wake of which practically most settlements of the country remained in blackout. Certainly, this fact jeopardizes the normal work of the education institutions, hospitals, producing companies, as well as the people’s daily life. Moldelectrica specialists work, in order to remedy the situation and to reconnect the entire country to power supply,’’ Natalia Gavrilita said on a social network.
The prime minister expressed solidarity with Ukraine. ‘’I convey sincere condolences to all those who today lost dear people because of Russian missiles. I think that it is clearer than ever: the price for freedom and for the right to choose the way and direction by ourselves is huge. On these moments, I urge you to be united and with solidarity, in order to overcome this new ordeal too,’’ Natalia Gavrilita said.
Disconnections from power supply today were registered in Moldova in the wake of Russian bombardments against the energy system of Ukraine. The damage disconnections in the Moldovan electric energy system took place at 14:23. A similar situation took place on 15 November, when there were also disconnections following Russia’s attacks in Ukraine.
