Chisinau, 24 November /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita has received Georgian Foreign Affairs Ilia Darchiashvili, on a visit to Chisinau. The discussions were focused on the security situation in the region, in the context of Russia’s unjustified war against Ukraine, as well as ways of efficient management of the current crises, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

The PM appreciated the high level of the relations between Moldova and Georgia. She noted the common aspirations of European integration, as well as of implementing projects meant to improve the living of the people from the two states.

„We work in crisis regime, but we are resolute to advance, concomitantly, on the programme of reforms. I am happy that Moldova and Georgia are aligned on more visions of development of our countries. Everything we do is for the benefit of the people and our common goal – to anchor our countries in the European integration – remains a priority in this respect,’’ the prime minister said.

„We must deepen the partnership between our countries and continue the high-level bilateral visits. Moldova and Georgia are in the same boat; therefore, we should continue the cooperation and our fruitful dialogue,’’ Ilia Darchiashvili said.

The officials also highlighted the importance of diversifying the commercial and economic relations and boost efforts, in order to raise the level of the strategic partnership.
