Chisinau, 30 November /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers today accepted the starting of negotiations on a draft agreement between the governments of Moldova and Latvia on the recognition and conversion of driver’s licences, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

Thus, through this agreement, both the citizens of Moldova and the ones of Latvia, after settling on the territory of the other state, will benefit from the right to convert their driver’s licences, without passing additional exams to this end.

The possession of the driver’s licence will ensure citizens’ right to drive vehicles in international traffic and their employment in the transports’ sector.

The present draft is meant to continue Moldova’s foreign policy measures, aimed at developing and strengthening the good international relations with the states of the European area on different segments, including the one of domestic affairs.
