Korea supported opening in Chisinau of Center for Innovation and Training in Digital Governance

Chisinau, Dec. 8 /MOLDPRES/- Center for Innovation and Training in Digital Governance, remodeled on the basis of the Moldovan-Korean Center for Information and Access was inaugurated today in Chisinau. The event marked ten years of bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Korea in creating opportunities for access to information, instruction and training in digital governance.
"I reaffirm on this occasion that digital transformation is a priority on the country's development agenda, and exponents of business, education and the field of information and communication technologies play an extremely important role in the process of implementing the objectives that provide for the modernization of the entire country through technology and innovation", said Iurie Țurcanu, Deputy Prime Minister for Digitalization of the Republic of Moldova at the event.
Attending the event, Jong-Sung Hwang, the head of the National Information Society Agency, Korea, mentioned his country's willingness to strengthen bilateral cooperation, through modernization and training in the field of digital transformation, ensuring the technical endowment and operational sustainability of the sector in the next period.
"In ten years of Moldovan-Korean collaboration, access to the Internet is no longer a challenge. A major challenge is the correct use and use of all the possibilities offered by the digital sector. In this respect, we are convinced that this partnership will continue and bring many benefits", said Olga Tumuruc, director of the Electronic Government Agency.
The Center aims at providing access to training programs on the use of digital tools and training opportunities in the field of digital governance.
